User friendly and flexible design
The innovative design of the ACEl00 M2X makes it extremely flexible and adaptable to the customer needs. Simple ideas such as the carrying handle (optional) and registers with large numbers were incorporated to make it a user friendly product in the field.
DD862is also open to allow integration of added functions such as AMR, MGB (Combo) or prepayment Modules.
Register
The register is available in single tariff version. Single tariff cyclometer is fitted with six large numbers providing a clear and easy reading of the kWh value at few meters distance.
Casing
The base, terminal block and cover are made from a specially engineered non-flammable thermoplastic material. It is UV stabilized, high tensile and strong enough to withstand strong impact. A weatherproof gasket protects the meter against dust, moisture and insects.
Two sealed screws fasten the cover from the front and two from the back. Access to any part of the meter is only possible by removing the meter from the wall and breaking the seals.
Main frame
The frame consists of a single piece of rigid steel plate produced with a high precision progressive cutting tool and coated with the latest anti-corrosion paint developed and used in the automotive
industry. The bearings and motor blocks are fitted to the frame with precision to ensure the highest accuracy and stability for the whole operating lifetime of the meter. The steel frame provides a shielding protection of the metering elements making the DD862 one of the best magnet immune meters in the market.
Rotor disc
The disc is made of pure aluminum plate and produced with high precision tools to obtain a perfect flat surface. The edge and upper surface are clearly marked for counting revolutions.
Bearings
The upper bearing is made of a stainless steel pin inserted in a UV stabilised engineering thermoplastic hold. The bottom bearing can be either double jewel or magnetic suspension. Additional lubrication is not required for either type.
Braking element
The meter-braking device is made of a high coercive-force magnet, fixed to a soft iron plate and fitted with temperature compensation plates. The braking torque is independent of the disc position in the air gap and accuracy will not be affected by external magnetic fields or the demagnetising effects of short circuits.
Calibration
The calibration adjustments are accessible from the front and do not require any special tool.
Full load adjustment (lb) with unit power factor - adjusted by two micrometric screws acting as a magnetic shunt on the braking element.
‚Low load adjustment (5% lb) with unit power factor - adjusted by a micrometric screw which modifies the stray flux of the voltage system to balance the effect of the voltage circuit flux.
ƒInductive Load Adjustment - available
in two variants:
» A fixed lag aluminum plate adjusted by successive cuts in the loop. This provides a highly stable and single adjustment.
» A sliding clamp is used to modify the resistance in the loop. The clamp is screwed into the correct position at the factory
