Single-phase pad-mounted transformers, also known as single-phase distribution transformers, are widely used electrical devices designed to convert high voltage to low voltage or vice versa. They mainly consist of a magnetic core and multiple windings.

 

The core is typically constructed with silicon steel sheets, delivering excellent magnetic permeability and low power loss. Depending on installation space and application requirements, the core can be designed in square, rectangular, or circular shapes.

 

Windings are divided into primary and secondary windings. The primary winding connects to the input power supply, while the secondary winding supplies power to the load. By adjusting the turns ratio between primary and secondary windings, the required voltage conversion is achieved.

 

The transformer is equipped with overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, and ground fault protection to ensure safe and reliable operation.
